I'm a technologist and musician based in the UK.

This site is where I keep things: thoughts, notes, and a growing collection of traditional tunes transcribed in ABC notation. The writing tends towards craft, attention, and the kind of thinking that takes longer than a paragraph to settle.

The tunes section exists because I got tired of losing track of settings I liked. ABC notation is a compact, human-readable format for music; abcjs renders it into actual notation in the browser.
